This is the magnetic structure of the living Fractal Earth.

[edit]-info for Bioscience group.[link]

All creatures are sensitive to the Earth's magnetic structure, but many are completely dependent on it for navigation (magnetotaxis).
Honeybees, birds, dolphins and even bacteria synthesize magnetite (Fe3O4) stored in inclusions called Magnetosomes.
The gram-negative bacteria, Aquaspirillum magnetotactium is found in sulfide-rich mud sediments throughout the world. In the Northern Hemisphere, north seeking bacteria predominate; in the southern hemisphere, south seeking bacteria predominate.

Amazing! So vibrant, I can almost see it seething and writhing like a living organism.

Frank, I had to go to the USGS and take a look. I love that site! I get email notifications of earthquakes from them. This is very, very cool!
